NOMADA’S BAJA BASH!

Get ready for a legendary fly-fishing experience at Mexico’s premier pelagic playground with Nomada Fly Fish!

Famous for its trophy “Grande” roosterfish—known to exceed 100 pounds—Baja California Sur’s East Cape is also home to other Sea of Cortez blue water species, such as dorado, tuna, wahoo, billfish, and countless inshore species, all of which will eat a properly presented fly.

However, this is a game of risk and reward mixed with a heavy dose of luck. Do you gamble and go for the glory on the resident hero makers? Or do you play it safe and pursue the schooling dorado—often described as the ultimate gamefish on the fly. Maybe you split your time trying both; that part is up to you and your fishing partner to decide.

Register for this trip, and you’ll soon enjoy five nights of oceanfront lodging at a first-rate boutique resort. You’ll also experience four days of inshore boat fishing for big game species with knowledgeable local captains from modern pangas equipped with an outboard motor. There’s nothing else like it.

Your trip begins in Cabo San Lucas at the Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), where you’ll be transported approximately two hours north with the rest of the group to our resort base in La Ventana. Upon arrival, you’ll be amazed at the breathtaking ocean view, spacious villas, swimming pool, hot tub, and fire pit. The subsequent days begin with coffee and a hot grab-and-go breakfast before heading to the fishing grounds to meet the captains. The days start early due to the excessive heat, so we’ll typically return to the villas in time for a late lunch. Evenings start with appetizers before enjoying a Baja-style Mexican, multi-course feast courtesy of our local chef. Meals showcase the region’s top seafood selections and more traditional beef, pork, and chicken dishes. The day ends with a tasty dessert. Food lovers will be amazed by the culinary offerings.

MEALS:

Baja is known for its diverse marine life, and as such, the menu features a heavy dose of the region’s premier seafood selections, masterfully prepared by our local chef. Seafood dishes include Mexican sashimi, poke, grilled or baked fish, and seafood paella made with the freshest tuna, dorado, amberjack, octopus, shrimp, and other shellfish. Sometimes, this includes our catches from that day; it doesn’t get any fresher than this. In addition to seafood, there will be a good variety of traditional meals prepared with beef, pork, and chicken. We strive to make meals a highlight of your Baja experience.
